Washing is the highest-impact stage a factory controls directly. Enzyme technology, optimised stone processes and recipe discipline can cut water and chemical use dramatically without changing the look customers want. The second biggest win is durability: a garment worn for five years instead of two roughly halves its yearly footprint.
Honesty over labels
Beware of vague claims. A trustworthy manufacturer will tell you plainly what is possible today, what it costs and what it saves — and what is still work in progress.
